1. Hypnotherapy sessions
1.1 We agree to work together to address the issues you present. Hypnotherapy is highly effective for many people, but individual results can vary, so no guarantee of a cure can be given, and it would not be ethical to make this claim. I will always use my best efforts and skills to help you work towards your therapeutic goals. A committed and well-motivated client is very likely to achieve realistic goals.
1.2 Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition. It is not a substitute for conventional medical treatment or advice. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional for any medical concerns.
1.3 Estimates for therapy duration and the number of sessions are based on those provided to previous clients. However, as all clients and conditions are unique, these estimates are subject to change.
2. Fees and Payment - Individual Sessions:
2.1 Fees for individual sessions will be discussed and agreed upon before your first session. Payment is required in full within 7 days of your session.
2.2 Considerable time is spent preparing for your session; therefore, if you need to
cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible. Any request to reschedule will not be unreasonably withheld.
2.3 With 24 hours' notice, your payment will be transferred to a rescheduled session.
Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend a scheduled session (no show), will result in the forfeiture of the full session fee.
2.4 In the rare event that I need to cancel a session or workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, I will provide as much notice as possible and offer the option to reschedule.
3 Fees and payments - Group Workshops:
3.5 Fees for online group workshops are as advertised on the Menopause Unlocked website or promotional materials. Full payment is required to secure your place in a group workshop.
3.6 Payments for the Menopause Unlocked programme are non-refundable, unless cancelled at least 48 hours before the start of the programme, or cancelled by me. Transfers to alternative workshop dates may be possible at my discretion, subject to availability and sufficient notice.
3.7 . Payment can be made by BACS transfer or via the secure online payment portal provided. Invoices are issued on request.
4. Punctuality and Online Session Protocol
4.1 Please join your online session promptly at the scheduled time. If you anticipate being late, please send a text message to 07736 573258. While every effort will be made to accommodate lost time, this is not always possible if another client is scheduled after you, therefore, the session may have to finish at the originally scheduled time.
4.2 It is your responsibility to ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space free from distractions for the duration of your online session. Technical issues on your end (e.g., poor internet connection, device malfunction) that disrupt or prevent the session may result in the session being forfeited or requiring rescheduling.
4.3 In online group workshops, participation may involve interaction with other participants. By joining, you agree to respect the confidentiality and privacy of all other group members.
5. Commitment, Standards of Behaviour, and Code of Conduct
5.1 Therapy requires commitment and motivation to gain the best results. Part of the progress happens in the therapy session, and part is achieved through reflection or "homework." As a client, you commit to engaging with the process both during the session and afterwards by completing any homework that you are given.
5.2 During any therapy sessions, I will treat you with respect and not abuse the trust you place in me. I will use best practice at all times in our mutual interest. In return, you undertake not to harm yourself, or any other person, including me, or any property.
5.3 You agree not to attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, except those medications that have been prescribed by your doctor. If you do attend any sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, or demonstrate violent or abusive behaviour, I will cancel the session and may refuse to see you for any further therapy sessions. Any anti-social behaviour by you will result in the immediate cessation of treatment.
5.4 Hypnotherapy recordings should not be listened to whilst driving, operating machinery, or undertaking any other activity where concentration is required. Any recording provided is for your personal use only and must not be shared, lent, copied, or sold
.
5.5 I am a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society (HS) and as such, comply with their Code of Ethics. This can be viewed at https://nationalhypnotherapysociety.org/about-us/code-of-ethics The HS also provides a complaints procedure, and this is available at any time. You can do this by visiting https://nationalhypnotherapysociety.org/help/contact or by telephoning 01903 213683.
6. Contact
6.1 Unless a prior agreement is made, it is expected that there will not be contact outside of sessions (unless for rescheduling or cancellation). If contact is required, it is requested to be made by email deborah@monarchhypnotherapy.co.uk
6.2 If I need to contact you, this will be done via your preferred method (as indicated on your Client Record Form, which is completed by you prior to your first session).
7. Confidentiality
7.1 All sessions will be conducted in the strictest confidence, and this confidence will be maintained and applied to all records (including written, informal notes, and audio recordings), in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the subsequent GDPR legislation, except in the following circumstances.
My full Privacy Policy is available on my website.
8. Amendments
8.1 I reserve the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the date of the last revision will be indicated.
